Vision Of Chaukhamba

Chaukhamba which signifies the strength of mighty Himalayas means the four pillars supporting humanity. Chaukhamba has the vision of creating a society free from poverty and unemployment based on equity and justice where every individual enjoys his/her natural and birth rights and have respect for humanity.

Mission of Chaukhamba

We at Chaukhamba commit ourselves –

  • To identify and work along with the economically and socially deprived, the physically and mentally challenged - starting with children, so that they become educated, skilled and aware.
  • To enable people to be self-reliant and enjoy a healthy, dignified and sustainable quality of life.
  • To create and provide better plateform for rural poor, marginalized farmers, people from economically and socially weaker section of the society to excel in their lives for attaining dignified, safe and healthy life.
  • To help rural poor in exploring more opportunities of income generation so that they can attain better life and living standards.
  • To collaborate with other agencies - governmental or non-governmental, as well as suitably intervene in policy formulation and implementation.
