Mr. Alok Dangwal hails from Village Akhori, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He did Masters in Physics from HNB Garhwal University and has more than 15 years working experience in voluntary sector. Mr. Dangwal pioneered in forming Chaukhamba in the year 2005 and got it registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in the NCT Region of Delhi.
An educationist by profession Mr. Tiwari authored "Pracheen Bharat Ka Itihas" a book on ancient history for graduate and the students preparing for Union and State civil services exams. He is from Mangawan, Distt - Rewa Madhya Pardesh.
Elite Classes (ECs) is an educational support programme for the students of class 5th, 6th,7th and 8th standard in 08 Govt. Schools in Pratapnagar and Thauldhar Blocks of Tehri Garhwal for providing quality education. Funded by SEWA-THDC, ECs is a Pilot Project under Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities of THDC India Limited a renowned PSU company of Govt. Of India and Govt . Of .Uttar Pradesh with total budget of 19.45 Lakh. Chaukhamba, which is an All India Voluntary Society, is the Implementing Agency of ECs in the target schools.
